  • Most people believe that the Great White Shark is a mindless eating machine. In today's wildlife documentary, a crew of scientists forms a relationship with a 2,000 pound Great White Shark named Bruce. They see through his eyes, swim with him, touch him and, in the end, they attempt a shocking experiment.

I grew up surfing at st Clair beach Dunedin NZ.We had regular great whites and a permanent warning bell on esplanade for any sightings.
I've been out there with them around and seen them (some very large ) but never attacked or heard of any locally that weren't long ago.
I think they need respect and healthy fear and to remember it's their home and risks can generally always b mitigated/acknowledge and act accordingly. If we weren't fkng their home and decimating their food sources ,not to mention fkng finning industry🤮🤮.Sharks are essential to the oceans health

Not always…some attacks are investigative bites…but Great Whites are so large these result in serious injuries and sometimes death. They don’t really seem like how we taste for the most part. If you consider the number people in the water the chances of a bite are very low.

What an Amazing documentary... and I find it funny that they called their Great White, 'Bruce', the nick name of the mechanical one used for jaws at universal studios. This was so ground breaking and incredible to watch. I am a bit jealous of the results... I have been swimming with the Leopard sharks in San Diego of and on for many years and often wondered about Great whites not really caring about us, but also their curiosity. I look forward to more videos like this one.
